Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • UCSI Foundation: Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.

  • STPM: Minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any 2 subjects; and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.
  • A-Level: Minimum 2 D grades
  • UEC: Minimum 5 credits (B6) including Mathematics and pass in English
  • ​National matriculation/ Foundation : Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.
  • ​International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects
  • Canadian Pre-U: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects
  • AUSMAT/ HSC/SACE/TEE/WACE: ATAR score 60% OR minimum 60% average in 5 subjects
  • Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 60%
  • Any qualification equivalent to Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance or related field (Level 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00
  • Other equivalent qualifications: To be reviewed by the faculty on a case-to-case basis

  • SPM/O-Level or its equivalent: Minimum 5 credits (inclusive of Mathematics and 1 science subjects)
  • SPM: Pass SPM with minimum 5 credits
  • O-Level: Minimum 5 credits (C)
  • UEC: Pass UEC with minimum 3 credits (B6)
  • Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 50%
  • Other qualifications deemed equivalent to SPM/O-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 60%

English Language Requirements

For Local Students

  • MUET: Band 4
  • SPM English Language: Grade B+
  • SPM English Language 1119/O-Level/IGCSE: Grade C
  • UEC English Language: Grade A2

  • TOEFL iBT: 42

  • Applicants who have an academic qualification from a higher learning institution which uses English Language as a medium of instruction can be granted an exemption from the University English requirements and MQA requirement.
