About
After completing work requirements at accounting firms, graduates can choose to pursue professional accountant certifications like the CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), and CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or they can enter direct practice in the public or private sector. One of the most respected professions in society, the accountants' position at the top has never been questioned.
Our curriculum is created in partnership with a group of academics, industry professionals, and employers. As a result, students will acquire theoretical knowledge along with practical abilities and hands-on applications. Students will be able to find employment immediately thanks to their research and critical thinking abilities, financial statement reading and analysis, report and presentation writing, and stakeholder interaction.
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), stakeholder values and ethics, financial reporting issues, information technology for accountants, quantitative methods, corporate finance, organisational behaviour, business economics, business law, company and association law, taxation law and practices, financial statements and investment analysis, cost management, innovation and entrepreneurship, and advanced business communication are just a few of the topics that students will study throughout the course of the program.
When students graduate, they will be fully qualified to prepare profit and loss statements for business entities, set up accounting practices and procedures for start-ups and offer wise counsel on how to manage them, analyse budgets and other financial data and offer suggestions on how to cut costs and maximise savings, create business budgets and put cost-cutting strategies into action, maintain timely and accurate records of company accounts, increase business financial efficiency, calculate statements of taxes owed, prepare tax returns and make sure they are filed correctly and paid on time, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
The Bachelor of Accounting with Honours program at MAHSA will guarantee that its graduates have all the knowledge required of a competent accountant because the work of an accountant is not an easy one.
