Mechatronics Engineering adalah bidang engineering yang muncul yang mengintegrasi mechanical engineering, elektronik dan komputer engineering dan informasi teknologi. Bidang ini mencakup robotik dan sistem automasi, engineering yang tepat, micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) dan banyak teknologi canggih lainnya. Aktifitas pokok dalam fokus mechatronic engineering terletak pada perkembangan dan integrasi dari sensor intelijen, automasi industri, robotik, aktuator, mikrosistem dan pembuat keputusan dan pengendali strategi yang canggih.

Program ini dirancang sebagai respon terhadap pesatnya pertumbuhan minat di bidang mechatronic dan engineering yang tepat. Program ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang mendemonstrasikan kemampuannya sebagai pemecah masalah yang efektif dan pintar dalam menerapkan logika, berfikiran kreatif dan krisis tentang berbagai tantangan dan masalah. Mereka juga akan menunjukkan kemampuan komunikasi yang efektif, mampu untuk berintegrasi dengan baik dengan industri dan berkontribusi positif sebagai profesional kepada komunitas.
